Invoicing by Fusion Payments — Bank payments

Pay an invoice by bank account. Same link, same page, no card surcharge.

On accounts with bank payments switched on, the hosted payment page offers "ACH Transfer" beside the card option. The customer enters the routing and account numbers, confirms a six-digit code, and the invoice is marked Paid. A saved bank account works for autopay too.

Invoicing by Fusion Payments — How it works

Can a customer pay an invoice from a bank account?

Yes, on accounts set up for it. The checkout shows "Credit / Debit" and "ACH Transfer" under Payment Method. The customer picks the bank option, enters the name on the account, routing number, account number and checking or savings, confirms a six-digit code, and pays.

Bank payment is switched on per merchant account by Fusion Payments, not by the merchant, and the app shows the status under Settings as "Cards · Bank payments" or "Cards only". Ask us to switch it on.

  • No card surcharge

A card surcharge, where an account has one, applies to credit cards only, and a bank payment never carries it. On a dual pricing account the bank price is its own line beside the card and cash prices.

  • Same invoice, same link

There is no separate bank-payment link. The Pay now button on every invoice offers both.

  • On the record as "Bank (ACH)"

The payment records with its method on the invoice, on Reports and in the Payments CSV, separate from card payments.

Bank account on file

Can I save a customer’s bank account for autopay?

Yes. A bank account is stored the same two ways as a card: you enter it on a seven-day secure link while the customer authorizes you, or the customer gets a single-use link by email or text and enters it themselves. A recurring schedule can then charge it on each due date.

The routing and account numbers are typed on your own payment page and vaulted at the processor. The invoicing software keeps the last four digits, a reference, and the record of who confirmed the customer’s authorization and when.

  • Authorization is recorded

Storing a method requires ticking that the customer authorized it, and the app records that you confirmed it and when.

  • Remove it any time

From the customer’s page. A schedule pointed at it stops charging and says so until another method is chosen.

Invoicing by Fusion Payments — For the books

How do bank payments show up in reports?

Every bank payment records as "Bank (ACH)" on the invoice, in the Payments CSV and in the By month report, where received amounts split into card, bank and other.

Card and bank money reach your bank on different days, so the app never adds them together.
